Do use protection
Tune Insure AirAsia Travel Protection helps protect you against unexpected obstacles when you travel, from flight delays and baggage loss/damages to accidental medical expenses.
Don't look lost
You may really be lost but don't look it! When standing on side walks, pretend to know where you're going, and then go into stores or restaurants to ask for directions.

Do travel light
In this case, we do mean your physical baggage. With fewer things at hand, you can zip around more quickly. You'll also be less tired and less likely to set your luggage down, leaving it unattended.
Don't be naughty
Different countries have different customs and laws. Make a point to learn the basics. Remember, once you disobey a law in a different country, it's going to be tough to bail you out!
Do blend in
We're all for individuality but in this case, don't flaunt your prized possessions, even if it's a designer handbag or pair of snazzy sneakers. You don't want to be marked as an affluent tourist and draw attention – the wrong kind, that is!
Don't always go for what's convenient
If you absolutely have to carry your valuables with you, don't put all in one pouch but in different places. Try inside pockets, pouches and money belts worn under your clothing. Secret compartments rock!
Do use the hotel safe
Carry the minimum number of valuables and lock your passport, cash and credit cards in the hotel safe – there's a reason why it's there and why it's called a "safe".
Don't travel alone at night
If you're alone and you want to go out at night, try tagging along with a large group of other travellers or arrange for a proper guide to take you to where you wish to go.
Do bring a little black book
Make a note of emergency phone numbers you may need: police, fire, your hotel and the nearest embassy. And of course, the phone number of Tune Insure's 24 Hours Worldwide Travel Assistance Services.
Don't accept candy from strangers
This may be an advice for kids but it also applies to you. In your case, it also includes other food and drinks. Crooks have been known to add illegal substances to food or drinks offered to travellers.
Do check visa requirements
Before you go on your trip, check first if you need a visa for the countries that you will be visiting or transiting at. Don't waste your trip getting stuck somewhere.
Don't fall asleep
On public transportation like buses and trains, especially when you have a lot of carry-ons with you. You might wake up with nothing left or with illegal items in your belongings.
Do leave something with family or friends
Like a copy of your travel itinerary and contact details. That way, they'll know exactly when you're supposed to return and how to get in touch with you (and remind you to buy back souvenirs).
Don't use short cuts
We love short cuts too but avoid them, along with narrow alleys and poorly lit streets, like a plague when you're on foreign land.
Do use your tongue
Learn a few phrases in the local language or have them handy in written form so that you can signal your need for police or medical help. Having your smartphone with you is pretty smart too – there's an app for everything these days.
Don't fight back
Give up your valuables when you're confronted. Although Tune Insure AirAsia Travel Protection is able to reimburse your lost items and medical expenses, we can't exactly take away all your pain and we hope you'll never have to be in such situations.
